This Privacy Policy explains how Eastoner LLC ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you visit https://eastoner.net (the "Site"). We do not collect personally identifiable information (PII) from visitors. We use Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how the Site is used so we can improve it.

We do not knowingly collect any of the following through the Site:

We have configured Google Analytics so that no PII is sent to it, and we do not use features that tie analytics data to a known individual (such as User-ID).
3.2 Usage information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, Google Analytics may automatically collect technical and usage information, including:

Your IP address is necessarily transmitted to Google when your browser connects to Google's servers. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store individual IP addresses; it uses the IP address transiently to derive approximate location and then discards it.
4. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Google Analytics uses first-party cookies and similar technologies to collect the information described above. Typical cookies include:

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect how some parts of the Site function, but it will not prevent you from accessing the Site's content.
5. How We Use Information
We use the aggregated analytics data to:

We do not use analytics data to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on individuals, and we do not use it to build individual profiles.

Google Analytics is a service provided by Google LLC (or Google Ireland Limited for users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland). Google processes analytics data on our behalf under Google's terms and data processing terms. We do not sell your information. We do not share analytics data with third parties except:

8. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA, UK, and Switzerland)
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process analytics data on the following legal basis:

Consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), where analytics cookies require consent under applicable law; or

Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), where permitted, in understanding and improving the Site, balanced against your rights and freedoms.
9. Data Retention
Google Analytics retains event-level data for a configurable period. We have set retention to 2 months for evet data and 14 months for user data. After that period, the data is automatically deleted from Google Analytics, except for aggregated reports that do not contain identifiers.
10. International Data Transfers
Google may process and store analytics data in the United States and other countries where Google or its sub-processors operate. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework (where applicable) or Standard Contractual Clauses.
11. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding personal information, such as the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing, and the right to data portability. Because we do not collect PII and do not maintain information that identifies you, we generally cannot link analytics data to a specific individual to fulfill such requests. You can nevertheless contact us (see Section 15) and we will respond as required by law.
11.1 European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland
You may have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, to withdraw consent at any time, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
11.2 California and other U.S. states
Residents of California and certain other U.S. states may have rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA). We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
12. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the Site and the limited information processed through it. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 16 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Site, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site where appropriate. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
